Vintage UNUSED Razor Gillette Aristocrat Triple Silver Plate Razor Set Complete. We have what appears to be an unused Gillette Aristocrat Safety Razor Set! The razor comes with the original paper box, plastic case celluloid? Please take the time to read the condition below (small issue). More neat stuff in our store! Made of metal (triple silver plate). The razor has a small issue. There is a very tiny hairline at the top of the handle close to the end cap (see our photos). We are unsure if this is a flaw or was caused somehow. In our opinion, it is a very minor issue. The razor also has a couple of small dark spots. Otherwise, the razor looks fine opens and closes. All other pieces look great! Vintage 1914 Gillette ABC Pocket Edition Silver Plated Empire Safety Razor Set

The serial number is C547660. The set was triple silver plated at the factory per Gillette. The razor has no bent teeth and the handle is solid brass so there are no cracks. There are some light scratches on top of the head. The threads are fine but the plating is worn with some brass showing a bit on top of the handle and bottom of the head where the handle meets the head. The plating may be getting a tad bit light on the ball end of the handle… Maybe you can see with zoom on the pics? Other than all this the plating looks great. The case hinges and lock mechanism work fine. On the exterior there is a small dent from the inside you can see in pic 11, Also, a small ding on top right corner of the name plate pic 10. Some light scratches top and bottom and the plating may be getting a little worn through on front latch button but other than that, I think the exterior looks great with some minor spots of patina. The interior is great as well, still plush with some minor wear and small tear bottom left. Blade case works fine with some light scratches and very small ding on one side of the lid. PLEASE DO NOT OVERLOOK THE CONDITION OF THIS RAZOR SET, THE COMPETITIVE PRICE, OR MY FEEDBACK WHEN CONSIDERING THIS ITEM. For your consideration–Antique Early-Century Gillette Single Ring Combination Set. This Set comes with a Very Nice Silver Plated–Brass Handle 3-Piece Single Ring Razor; 2 Talc Canisters; 2 Razor Blade Holders; and 5 Gillette Green Wrapper Razor Blades–In the original wrappers and 4 Each Used 3 Hole Razor Blades. See Descriptions and Conditions Below (See Pictures). DESCRIPTIONS AND CONDITIONS: (I hope I do this razor set justice in my descriptions below). SILVER PLATED/BRASS SINGLE RING RAZOR: This razor is in good vintage-used condition. There are some light scratches on the head and minor plate loss around the edges of the head. This razor has two very small stress cracks–so small I had a hard time getting a picture; and, they do not impede the function of this razor. I can not find a Serial Number anywhere on this razor. This razor has the following printed on the underside of the Guard Bar: Gillette Diamond Logo–and–MADE IN USA. THE CASE: This case looks like it was made less than 1 year ago—Not Over 100 years ago!!! The only faults I can find with this case are a small crease-line at the front, above the snap and minor paint loss to the Snap Button. The Snap works as designed/manufactured. The Velvet/Velour on the inside bottom is perfect. The Satin on the inside lid is also perfect–and the Print on the Inside of this case is very prominent and crisp!! THE RAZOR BLADE HOLDERS: Excellent Condition–No Paint/Print Loss!!! THE TALC CANISTERS: I have seen other sets where these canisters were silver plated. These have almost a dull shine with brass tinge accents—I know that sounds Oxi-Moronic; but that is what I see. There are not dents/dings. There are some age related spots on the inside of these canisters. RAZOR BLADES: You will receive 5 Unused Gillette Green Wrapper Razor Blades–Still in their original wrappers, and 4 Used Gillette 3-Hole Razor Blades. I have made no attempt the clean this razor–The only thing I did to this razor, when I got it, was give it a warm soapy bath. Further cleaning and sterilization should be accomplished, by someone more knowledgeable than me, before display/use. When I found this case and contents the Snap was Snapped Shut. I Unsnapped It–Snapped It Back–Then Unsnapped It Again. I have left it Unsnapped since that day. You will receive it Unsnapped. Measurements: See Pictures for Case Measurements–5″ X 4″. This is a pocket edition safety razor kit from the 1920s in the Empire Design which is rare in this condition. The razor comes in a velvet-lined, Empire Design, repousse metal silver pocket edition case. The case lining is marked with a sewn-in Gillette label. The set comes with a Gillette three piece old type safety razor and an early Gillette razor blade metal case. The razor, handle, and its contents show little, if any, use and/or wear. The case interior is in excellent condition, even the velvet lining. The back of the case is stamped Gillette Safety Razor, Pocket Edition. All of the patents from the USA to Russia (14 in all) are shown from Nov. 15 1904 are shown. The back is further signed in scrip. The razors hinges and latch are in excellent condition. The front of the case is very decorative with a space for initials, which is unused. The case shows little use with no loss of plating. This is a great find for any razor collection.
