English Silver Company Silver Plate Meat Dome & Tray – Vintage. My Grandmother & Mother set a splendid table when they entertained with lots of silver and beautiful china, crystal & linen. They loved to bring the roasted meat to the table hidden under a shining silver meat dome & lift off the lid with great aplomb to reveal the feast. For our New Year Celebration dinner, our table was set for 6 persons, & so we used a smaller meat dome & serving platter for as a centerpiece to reveal our gorgeous rack of lamb. This is an old silver-plate set that has been dearly utilized over the years to present a roast for a modest number of guests. The dome is 13.5 inches by 9.5 inches and approximately 7 inches high with handle. It sits on a lovely footed tray that is 16 by 11.5 that sits 2 inches off the table. While it has been loved & used over the years, it still makes a lovely presentation piece as well as utilitarian carving /serving station. RARE Vintage Hotel Utah Meat Dome Entree Serving Tray, Silver Plate. This piece is a rarity. This great piece of nostalgia is from the historic Hotel Utah which debuted in 1911 and closed in 1987. This is a domed serving tray from that historic hotel. It does have scratches and dings all throughout the piece but it is still in great shape considering its age. The tray measures 20.5″ X 15.5″ X 3. The dome measures 19″ X 14″ X 7.5 not including the handle on top. This is a rather large piece big enough to fit a good sized turkey. For sale is an exceptional Edwardian engraved silver plate meat dome cover. With handle made in 1905 by Elkington & Co. With a footed platter tray tree with well by the International Silver Company. The meat dome cover is 14-1/4″ long by 10-7/8″ wide by 6″ tall 8″ to top of. Handle, clearly hallmarked with the maker’s mark in two places, and the date. Letter “T” for 1905. Each side of the dome cover is ornately decorated with an. Elaborate cartouche: one side has a pair of family armorial crests a wedding. The other side has a highly stylized monogram.
