No box, every piece has a plastic sleeve. Many of the forks have black tarnished spots toward the end and need to be cleaned. Regular normal light scratching on a some items that we actually used a long time ago, most have never been used and were always at the bottom of the stack. Never washed in the dishwasher, always by hand. Ben in my family since new. 12 dinner forks 24 dessert/salad forks. 1 bread and butter knife. 1 slotted serving spoon. 1 solid serving spoon.
