VTG. REED & BARTON EXT. RARE Soup Tureen COW Finial COW Head Handles Silverplate

Up For Your Consideration is an Extremely RARE Vintage Reed & Barton Silver Plated Soup Tureen with a Full COW Finial Handle on the Top Lid. And COW HEAD Handles on either side of the Soup Tureen. I Searched Far and Wide on the Internet and the only other one that I could find. Was under “The Return of the Soup Tureen” Antique House of Gloucester and Beyond. Story of almost the same exact. Soup Tureen in the late 1800’s that had been in a Prominent Family for years and was stolen and later found years later. At a Flea Market. This Soup Tureen is Mfd. & Plated by Reed & Barton No. 2840 16 engraved on the Bottom. Do Not Know The Age. Soup Tureen is very Ornate. With lots of Detail. This Soup Tureen has all of the ole Patina and I have not cleaned it. Also there are a couple of small Dings and Scratches and some very slight Dents on the body of the soup tureen. I only noticed them. When I rubbed my fingers over the body. Also, on the Cow Finial Lid Handle, it may be that the very tip of the Cow’s tail is missing. Not sure about this, but thought it should be. Soup Tureen Measures approx. 9″ Tall including lid x 15″ Long x 8 Wide. Has Substantial Weight and Sits Square. I added a Silver Plate. Long handled ladle by Wanamaker EPNS AI England for this Soup Tureen. If You Love Cows or Have a Ranch, this would look Great on your Table or Sideboard. REED & BARTON VICTORIAN (6710) COFFEE & TEA SERVICE SET Large Sized Set. A large oversized Butler’s Tray with handles 28″ x 18 1/2 “. Coffee pot 9 1/2″ x 10 1/2″. Tea pot 7 1/2″ x 11 3/4″. Creamer 5 1/2″ x 6″. Sugar with lid 6″ x 7 1/2″. Sizes are approximate and measured height first followed by width. This is a very heavy set (butlers must develop some big muscles) It weighs 15 lbs (before packing). This set glimmers and shines and shows very little wear. I was fortunate to find this at an estate sale and very pleased to offer it to a new home. Please see the attached photos, they are part of my description. Vtg Reed & Barton Renaissance Silverplate Serving Tray 6000 30 (30.25″ x 21.75″) Tray is in great condition with typical surface scratches on serving surface. Tried to make the scratches show up in photos but hard to do. But tray is in great shape with no tarnish, tray sits perfectly flat. See close-up photos of reverse side markings. Very large tray – about 30-1/4″ x & 21-3/4″ (coke can shown for size comparison). Weighs about 11 pounds. Wonderful old serving tray for your collection. Reed and Barton SUNNY JIM Vintage Silver Plate SMILING FACE PITCHER

This charming vintage silver-plate pitcher was made by Reed and Barton. He has a big smiling face on both sides and is known as Sunny Jim. The pitcher is marked on the bottom: REED & BARTON 5640 4 PT. This is a quality silverplate pitcher. It measures 5 7/8 high at the spout and 8 ¾ wide including the handle. Sunny Jim is in very good condition. There are no dents, no repairs, and no damage of any kind. The bottom has the typical fine scratches. I think he would benefit from a good polishing. A wonderful piece to display! And imagine how much fun it would be using Sunny Jim to serve lemonade, or iced tea or any favorite beverage!
