PAIR OF LARGE VINTAGE SILVER OR SILVER PLATED CUT GLASS CLARET JUGS , QUALITY. The silver has no marks , it also shows no ware, Im sure this is solid silver but with no markings it would be classified as white metal. Both are very elegant. The one with the glass stopper stands 34cm high, There is some damage to the glass under the silver mount inside were the stopper goes in. And a chip on the outside just below the silver mount. The top of the glass may have been ground down as its slightly shorter. The other stands 30cm high, there is no damage to the glass but the hinge on the lid has become unsoldered from the handle and needs a repair. There are a few issues but they are a very handsome pair. I would think these date from the early to mid 20th century.
