Vintage Burbank Benge Professional Trumpet / Number 5 Bell. These are certainly some of the most classic American trumpets ever made and it is hard to imagine any professional player not loving this horn. One amazing aspect of this trumpet is the response and fullness of tone for what most people would consider a lightweight trumpet. The valves have a great feel to them and all slides are free and functional. The trumpet is free of any large dents, the bell is straight and it is a horn you will enjoy picking up. There are small areas of silver loss around contact areas and normal wear. I believe you will find this to be in above average cosmetic condition for its vintage and an excellent playing professional trumpet. First, please excuse the poor photography. Not my strong suit! This is a REAL, RARE Burbank Benge trumpet, serial number 7220, made at 1122 W. Burbank, California in 1969 by Elden Benge’s son Donald. That’s right this is a 50-year-old trumpet in excellent (not mint) original condition. 460 bore, #5 bell (see pics) makes this a 5X. Recently professionally serviced, including chemical bath cleaning and a precision valve alignment. This horn is a player, not a museum piece. No case or mouthpiece.
