The original finish is virtually all intact with only some light tarnish; the gold wash in the bell is strong, though does show some signs of thinning. The physical condition is excellent, with the only exception being that the bell is slightly out-of-round with a slight dent, but this is hard to see and is detected more by feeling the bell than by looking at it (being minor, it is hard to show in a photo). There is no sign of any major repair. The pads are old and will need to be replaced – the horn is not playing. Period case is in excellent condition; just needs some cleaning.
