Puiforcat France Silver Plate Tray 8.75″ x 6.75″ with a. This tray is engraved with the following message: “Gloria Gold, We Thank You For Our Success, The Pitzer Community, May 13, 1990″. Tray is in very good condition with only small surface scratches consistent with gentle and careful use. There is one small area on the upper left portion of the tray’s edge that I photographed that has some scratches. There are no dings, dents, bends, tweaks of wear marks. Tray is clearly marked Puiforcat France on the back bottom lip center. This Puiforcat tray is used. It is NOT brand new. It is 33 years old. You will receive the exact item you see in the photos, so please examine all photographs carefully as they are part of the condition and description. Thank you for your understanding.

A magnificent vintage English silver plated (on copper) gallery tray. Perfect for serving afternoon tea or pre-dinner drinks – all you need is a butler to carry it into your elegant drawing room! Stunning shape with cut off corners and measuring 22.5 x14.25 inches. The pierced gallery rail has cutout grab handles at either end and the plateau is beautifully chased with a classic rococo pattern of scrolls and leaves surrounding a an inscribed central cartouche. The tray stands on four lovely wheatsheaf feet. Very solid and weighty. The Institution of Civil Engineers. Offered for sale in excellent vintage condition. It sits on 4 bun feet…. This is a lovely example that has obviously been very well cared for. Freshly cleaned and polished to a nice central inscription. Stamped on back silver plate on copper made in England.

Joseph Mappin founded the business in 1810 and traded as an engraver in Sheffield and London. Dating from the first part of the 20th Century. The back is stamped with the broad arrow and the initials H H. It has a fabulous timeworn patina. A period piece perfect for any collector or to use and enjoy. Tarnish and wear to surface. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
