This is an exquisite and rare antique pair of Old Sheffield plated entree dishes with covers, circa 1830 in date. These entree dishes are of the highest quality and bear the makers’ mark of Roberts, Smith & Co. They are of oval shape and feature elegant gadrooned decoration on the rim. The covers have matching gadroon decoration on the top as well as. Beautifully fluted decoration throughout. They feature stunning textured and chased handles in the shape of leaves. Vintage Kings Pattern canteen of cutlery in silver plate with stainless steel knife blades by Smith Seymour of Sheffield. There are 8 place settings – 67 pieces in all. 8 dinner knives and forks, 8 salad knives and forks, 8 soup spoons, 8 dessert spoons, 8 teaspoons, 8 coffee spoons and 3 serving spoons. The blades of the knives all have the makers name. The cutlery has hardly been used and is in very good condition. The oak case is also in very good condition. This is a heavy set and weighs over 5 kgs.
