It is a Coffee Maker/Percolator from around the turn of the century 1900″ish”. There is very limited info avail on this Rare piece. The Label reads” k u k Patent comfort cafe machine EK Richard Emmer HOF Lieferant Wien 7 Stefansplatz 7″ The Coffee pot has a metal filter which screws into the center of the kettle. It is marked KK PATENT & EK WEIN. The Filter screen also screws into the filter. The Glass Lid has a faceted knob on top. The Kettle is also stamped with a “2” over top of the label on the top rim. Feel free to ask questions, but I dont know any more… It came out of a vintage officers tea set, but was mismatched. Also it should have a loop stand… This one does not have it. Silverplate Construction With Lucite Handles And Feet. The Electric Pot Boils Water Which Is Pushed Thru The Tube To Percolate In The Glass Top, Down Through The Top Basket Which Fits Perfectly Into The Coffee Pot Body. There Is A Strainer Lid That Fits Securely Over The Basket Section Which Holds The Coffee Grounds. The Percolated Water Is Visible In The Glass Top And Darkens As The Coffee Is Ready. Drips From The Top Section Through The Coffee In The Basket To The Coffee Pot Bottom Section, For A Perfect Cup Of Fresh Hot Coffee. The Bottom Is Signed Universal And The Last Patent Date Is 1924.
