Mazing Art Nouveau, antique hand-held, silver-plated vanity mirror, circa 1904. Amazing detail of a Maiden, or goddess with long, flowing hair. She is clothed in a sheer gown and is surrounded with sculptural waves, and roses. The silver frame & mirror are in great, vintage, undamaged condition showing very little wear. The beveled mirror is in great, original condition with a tiny bit of hazing; but is still clear and viewable. This very rare and lovely display piece measures 10″ long x 6″ wide. It is stamped’Derby Silver Co. And Pat’d July 20, 1904. This mirror is quadruple silver-plated. Vanity items from this era had a heavy plating- four times the regular silver-plated wares.
