Vintage Simpson Hall Miller & Co Inkwell Quadruple Silver Plate Floral. Large, weighted, quadruple silver plate inkwell with a detailed high relief floral blossom design – with a Victorian look. 5½ diameter at the base x 3 tall, weighs 2 lbs 5 oz. Hinged lid firmly opens to reveal a glass ink cup with a silver [tone] metal ring (fits snug into metal well). Stamped on metal underside with Simpson Hall Miller & Co Quadruple Plate logo, plus a hard to read number 334? Underside is also hand engraved 4 x 47-10. WW2 ANTIQUE HORSE HOOF INKWELL WITH ORNATE SILVER PLATE MOUNTS. ANTIQUE HORSE HOOF INKWELL WITH ORNATE SILVER PLATE MOUNTS. Approx 4″(10cm) high x 6″(15cm) long x 4(10.5cm) wide. Overall in very good condition, there is some age related wear to the horse hair around the top of the hoof and minor wear to the silver plate in places – please see pictures. Very nice and clean condition overall condition is excellent This is an absolute must for a collector of antique Please remember that vintage & antique Items are not mint, nor are they perfect but They sure are full of old history and charm.
