No monograms or engraving, plating is still bright, there however some surface marks and utensil scratches to the bed of the tray. Vintage 1914 Gillette ABC Pocket Edition Silver Plated Empire Safety Razor Set

The serial number is C547660. The set was triple silver plated at the factory per Gillette. The razor has no bent teeth and the handle is solid brass so there are no cracks. There are some light scratches on top of the head. The threads are fine but the plating is worn with some brass showing a bit on top of the handle and bottom of the head where the handle meets the head. The plating may be getting a tad bit light on the ball end of the handle… Maybe you can see with zoom on the pics? Other than all this the plating looks great. The case hinges and lock mechanism work fine. On the exterior there is a small dent from the inside you can see in pic 11, Also, a small ding on top right corner of the name plate pic 10. Some light scratches top and bottom and the plating may be getting a little worn through on front latch button but other than that, I think the exterior looks great with some minor spots of patina. The interior is great as well, still plush with some minor wear and small tear bottom left. Blade case works fine with some light scratches and very small ding on one side of the lid. Vintage Empire Crafts Silver Plate Tea Coffee Set COMPLETE Silk Lined Chest 114

For sale we have a five piece coffee/tea service vintage/antique set that comes in a silk lined suitcase. The suitcase is working but does show some dings and worn corners as to be expected for age. All of the features inside to keep everything in its place are in tact. There is a padded place for each piece and then a pillow that goes over the tea service for padding. Trey goes in the top part and is held in by a blue silk robe. The tray also has plastic pieces to keep it in the lead part of this case. Overall the suitcase measures 16x16x5-1/2. The tray measures 15 inches in diameter and is approximately 7/8 tall. On the bottom it is marked Empire Crafts, QUADRUPLE PLATE, GLORIANA. This has one ding in it that I pointed out. There is also a 2 mm circle area that I pointed out. You cannot feel this but I think it’s possibly wear the silver plate has worn off? Why is this is a very sturdy tray. The coffee/tea pot is in great condition. The hinge works great. You will find the normal signs of use with light scratching here in there as expected for vintage age with use. The inside does show signs of use also but again pretty good in my opinion for vintage age. His coffee cup measures approximately 91/8 inches tall. From one end of the handle to the end of the spout it measures 71/2 inches. Dimension is 41/2 inches. This teapot holds 48 oz. I do not see any dings/dents in this pot. The creamer has one down which I have pointed to. It’s not big. This creamer measures 4 1/2 inches tall, approximately 41/4 inches wide by 2 3/4 inches in depth. It holds 10 ounces. The sugar and it’s Lid measures 51/4 inches tall. From one handle to the office that handles measures 5 inches. The other dimension is 3 3/8 she is. The lid on this has a very small dent that is not very noticeable. There is light scratching which is normal with use. It holds 10 ounces also. Again, all of these pieces do you show signs of use but for their age I believe they are in good condition. Please see all the pictures. This is a pocket edition safety razor kit from the 1920s in the Empire Design which is rare in this condition. The razor comes in a velvet-lined, Empire Design, repousse metal silver pocket edition case. The case lining is marked with a sewn-in Gillette label. The set comes with a Gillette three piece old type safety razor and an early Gillette razor blade metal case. The razor, handle, and its contents show little, if any, use and/or wear. The case interior is in excellent condition, even the velvet lining. The back of the case is stamped Gillette Safety Razor, Pocket Edition. All of the patents from the USA to Russia (14 in all) are shown from Nov. 15 1904 are shown. The back is further signed in scrip. The razors hinges and latch are in excellent condition. The front of the case is very decorative with a space for initials, which is unused. The case shows little use with no loss of plating. This is a great find for any razor collection. Christofle Malmaison Large Vintage Tray Empire Grand Plateau Christofle

Christofle Malmaison vintage silver plated tray. I believe made post 1980’s as the stamp looks to be the later variant. Stamped on both handles and on the tray itself. Tray measures 31.5 cms x 42 cms. 55 cms x 31.5 cms including handles and weighs 2.2 kilos. Silver plate over brass. Makers stamp on both handles and the tray itself. Condition Notes: The tray has usual fine scratches associated with usual wear, however there are deeper scratches in several areas but scratches not so deep that they have reached the underlying brass that the tray is made from. Please view the pictures carefully as there are several areas where this kind of scratching may be seen. There are also two light but visual dents to the base. Again I have tried to show these in pictures 1, 10 and 11. Also worth noting is slight ripple extending about 3 cms to the edge and loss to the plating to the edge seen in picture 12. This is a used vintage tray that has marks, please look at the images using the supersize facility. 99p with no reserve on the understanding it is bought as seen. This tray is very presentable still and will look better with further cleaning and polishing. Possibly a good candidate for refinishing the Silver Plating.
