This set is in a class by itself. Equal parts secessionist/ Vienna, Wiener Werkstatte ca. 1900 (Josef Hoffmann) and German Bauhaus Futurist. It definitely seems to be from the 1920’s-1930’s – though we’ve never seen another like it. There are some similarities to Italian design as well – Gio Ponti, et al. Suffice to say, it’s unique. Comprised of teapot, coffee pot, cream and sugar – all constructed of silverplate and with hard edges and handles of extreme angularity. Condition: wear commensurate with age and use. We estimate the set somewhere in the vicinity of 1933 – so 90 years vintage. There’s a a bend atop one of the lids so it doesn’t close perfectly flush. Will take more pics in the coming days. This is a nice antique Art Deco Leo Schlesinger Co. New York City silver plated hammered foldable stepped tray manufactured in 1928. But has some surface wear in some spots and it comes exactly as shown. The bottom of the two bottom tiers have the most spots. E of the hinge has some corrosion which does not show when tray is unfolded. It measures 14″ x 9 3/4″ x 7 1/2″ when opened and it is 10″ x 7 1/4 when folded.
