This fabulous spiritual meditating dancer man silver plated plate is signed LOS CASTILLO TAXCO HECHO EN MEXICO 544 PLUMA AZTECA on the three gold circles and LOS CASTILLO HECHO AMANO MEXICO in the silver stamps. I believe that feathers are used to make the background. Measures approximately 8-3/4″ across the top and 5-15/16″ across the base. Weighs 55.77 grams. I do not know if this will polish up or not as it is plated and not sterling silver. Photos are not actual size. A fine vintage Mexican silver-plated PITCHER by Los Castillo is available. The piece is in good, acceptable condition. The pitcher shows age-consistent surface wear. There are no dents or dings, but there are some visible deep scratches on the neck and the body of the piece. The handle has an applied malachite stone handle. All complete and present. No edge chips or cracks. The body has an undulating band of applied brass with malachite’dot’ accents. Although it appears visually that one dot might be missing, there’s no indication that one was removed; we think it’s by design. The pitcher measures 8.25″ tall and 19.5″ around the belly. Benchmarks LOS CASTILLO, TAXCO, MADE IN MEXICO, TA-01, PLATEADO, 206 Weight 31 oz. 878 grams, 1 lb. Please check all pics carefully. Art Silver on Ceramic. The piece measures approx. 3-5/8 inches high x 9-1/4 inches diameter (9.2 x 23.5 cm). The turquoise glazed bowl with a shaped lip rim conforming to the contours of a pair of applied overlay iguanas, dragonflies to the interior and exterior of the bowl. Vintage Los Castillo’s silver plate creamer with a bird on the top of the handle with inlaid malachite & a brass crest. It measures approx 5 1/4″ tall to the top of the brass crest 3 1/4″ tall at the lip 3 3/4 from the lip to the handle. Base is 1 5/8 in diameter & signed Hecho in Mexico Plapterdo Los Castillo TA -01 388. Rare! Los Castillo Taxco Sliver Plate Parakeet Cream Sugar Set Vtg Mexico Parrot

I believe this is a silver plate on copper set. The silver plate is heavy and free from scratches and wear. I believe the parakeet on the creamer is a blue lapis and the two on the sugar are green malachite. The one parakeet on the sugar has an obvious piece missing on the wing. Each has a little chipping on the top of the heads. The blue lapis on the creamer’s parakeet is in very good condition, however I believe the eyes may be missing. Each piece is marked Los Castillo Taxco TA-01. The creamer has additional numbers of 383 and 10. Please be your own final judge of the set and it’s exact age. Dimensions: (creamer) measures 7&1/2″ tall, 4″ wide from the spout to back of parakeet, bottom is 2&1/2″ wide, the (sugar) bowl measures 6&1/2″ from back of parakeet to back of parakeet, across the top is 2&1/8″, across bottom is 2&1/2″, the (spoon) is 5&7/8″ long by 1&1/4″ wide across the bowl.
