Silver Plate and Cut Glass. This wonderful vintage piece could be used for candy, keepsakes, trinkets, anything else your imagination may suggest for a container this size – or, of course, sardines! Or simply display it as-is. Box overall size, including feet, is approx. 7″ long by 6″ wide by 4-1/2 high. The glass box itself is approx. 5″ long by 4-1/2″ wide by 2 high. Its design is beveled squares on the sides, with a starburst in the base. A Greek Key design is etched or engraved into the base and also as a border around the lid. The “sardines” sign is held vertical by a coiled, three-dimensional rope. The coil is approx. We haven’t yet been able to find it…. This piece is in lovely vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, repairs, dings or missing pieces.
