Vintage Original Silver Plate Selmer Paris New Large Bore Super Alto, Serial #13689. This is a vintage Selmer Paris New Large Bore Super alto sax in satin silver, serial number 13689. The body of the sax is in beautiful condition showing off the burnished silver finish around the bell deco as well as the keys. Its bell flare also show cases a lovely gold wash. The body of the alto is about as nice as it gets with no history of major repair and no re-solders. Its bell, body tube, bow and bow cap are all in terrific shape. Its neck is also in excellent original condition and has never been pulled down. These early vintage Supers are fantastic free blowing players and tend to be warmer then the Balanced Action models that were made later. This one is currently playing down to a low Bb on older pads. If you are looking to do serious playing on the sax it will ultimately need to be re-padded. It is always a nice treat to find a silver Super in such nice condition. Schilke CX6 Professional C Trumpet. You will find this to be a spectacular professional C trumpet. One of the amazing aspects is that the horn is so free and responsive that it feels like you a playing a B flat. The sound has a solid core sound that is open, lively and rich. The valves are classic Schilke, very fast and light with strong compression. This trumpet was manufactured around 1980, in a wonderful era in Schilke’s history. The horn looks very nice. There is some silver plating loss around the valve clusters and contact areas but most of the plating is very nice. There is a ping on the leadpipe but no large dents. We are including a leather valve cover to dress it up. I think you will feel proud to take this of the case. Included is a used pro quality padded gig bag. BENGE Vintage Trumpet 3xML bore resno tempered bell circa 1975 Silver Plate. This horn came from a musician. This is the horn he played in college. He has not been playing for years, so liquidated half a dozen musical items, from effects to guitar to bass to, this Trumpet. This horn is fully functional, with tuning slides and pistons all free and working. This horn most certainly would benefit from a complete chem clean, inside and out. But she’s functional, and right now can be used with some valve oil and tuning slide grease handy. As I survey the horn, I can only find one tiny pin size ding and no dents. The finish does have some wear, the most being on the 2nd valve tuning slide. Overall really nice and for a horn over 40 years old I would call it a good 7 out of 10. BELL IS ENGRAVED Resno-Tempered Bell / Custom Built by E. Benge / Los Angeles Calif. Now to bore size, someone helped me to ID this as a 3x bore. THE 70H BASS TROMBONE HAS A #5 BORE. 562, AND A F ROTARY ATTACHMENT. IT ALSO HAS THE TUNING SLIDE IN THE HAND SLIDE, NOT IN THE BELL. THE ADVANTAGE OF HAVING THE TUNING SLIDE IN THE HAND SLIDE IS THAT THIS ALLOWS THE ENTIRE BELL SECTION TO BE CONICAL, INSTEAD OF THERE BEING A CYLINDRICAL SECTION TO ALLOW FOR THE TUNING SLIDE. THE ADVANTAGE OF HAVING THE TUNING SLIDE IN THE HAND SLIDE IS THAT THIS ALLOWS THE ENTIRE BELL SECTION TO BE CONICAL THIS TROMBONE DOES NOT HAVE THE SPRING BARREL. ROTARY TO F, SLIDE TO E. RARE-Vintage F. Millard TROMBONE (C. G. CONN) Small Bore Silver plate

This trombone is a trombone collectors dream. For beginner, professional or collector it is definitely a great horn for the period and very rare with a great history. Union Army in the 1860s. The company went through a number of relative in charge changes over the years. A Master repairman has completely dis-assembled, cleaned and adjusted the instrument for optimum playing. The tuning and main slide moves freely, and it plays well. The specifications and description of the instrument are. Silver plated with a more goldfish tint inside the bell. Bell engraving says MADE BY MILLARD Detroit -Mich. On shank is Serial #451848. On slide L P means low Pitch A=438 Serial #151308. On mpc received a #1. On the side of slide #1. On bell reciever a #4. The bell measures 7 in diameter. 465 (11.88 MM). The MPC that came with the horn is a Conn 2, and someone used a jewelers saw to cut the end of the mpc so the end could be squeezed smaller I assume to get into the mouthpiece receiver further to bring up to A=440 [the standard pitch today]. The tube size on the slide side is. 562 (or 14.22mm) and on the bell side. 818 (or 20.56mm). One of the Professional trombonist I sent the specs to thought it might have been manufactured by C. Vintage Chicago-Burbank Benge, L bore trumpet in silverplate

Here is a VERY rare Benge, made by Elden in 1954. It is a Chicago Benge, assembled at the Burbank shop one year after the move from Chicago. It is ALL Chicago parts, including the bell, which has the staff logo (worn a bit), yet also has the Burbank address stamped underneath. Reportedly, there were only around 20 of these EVER made, because it is a Large bore. This is THE first Large bore made (assembled) at the Burbank facility. It was cleaned and replated at the Zig Kanstul factory less than 10 years ago. Zig did the work. Valves were also replated & fit. There was a first valve trigger (see pics of valves) that I had professionally removed, since it may not have been original…. For me, this allows for a more comfortable grip. I can send the trigger, if you desire to have it re-attached. The horn plays VERY free and easy… Even and smooth in all registers. Great intonation and perfect slotting. This listing is for a RARE DEG Dynasty (#3582) 2 Valve G Bugle that is measured with my calipers as a. 470 bore with a YELLOW brass 5 bell Bb Professional Jazz DCI DCA Drum Corp International and Drum Corp Associates instrument. A blast from the past! This horn has an open leadpipe for a special blow! It has nickel plating with very little wear. It has 1 adjustable O finger rings and 1 saddle hook. 2nd valve slide has a nib on it. It has 2 standard water keys. Overall look is special and these are hard to find, especially in this condition. It is NOT new. This baby really SCREAMS! Some very light scratches here or there. It is a used BEAST! If you want a new one, get a new one… Everything works perfectly, as it should. Tuning slide is semi-round(on the back of the horn). Blows big for a a. 470 bore, as you would want SCREAMING La Fiesta or Malaguena! This horn does come with a VINTAGE case that is in 8 out of 10 condition. This listing comes with ANY in stock Legends Brass mouthpiece 1/2 off! I would suggest a matching Heavy Weight piece. These horns have GREAT focus and SIZZLE with the bore at. 470, the sound is AWESOME. It has had a cleaning and we have done our valve alignment which isn’t perfect but it is FREE! 470 bore really plays, but it doesn’t FEEL too large from a play ability standpoint.
