Beautiful Vintage Silver Fox Hunt Stirrup Cup Foxes Head 1900s. A lovely finely detailed foxes head forms the tri-footed base of this lovely silver plated Cup. Known as a stirrup Cup these were traditionally handed to mounted huntsman or woman for a toast or a quick nip before riding off or continuing on the hunt. This isnt a Victorian era example, whilst it isnt new either! Often these vintage examples were made in Italy- whilst this one isnt marked that I can see. Excellent damage free condition- the silver has no rubbing wear at all. Height 13.5cm diameter 8.5cm weight 350 grams approx. Then please read on!
