WHAT A FABULOUS ANTIQUE HALLMARKED GEORGE III/WILLIAM IV MATCHED PAIR OF ENGLISH SILVER MEAT PLATES. IT IS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. And of a good weight and very special being in such fine order. A quite fabulous early 19th Century hallmarked silver pair of items. It has a most attractive shape. One is dated 1807 and by top makers William Burwash and Richard Sibley. The other is dated 1836 and by rare makers Thomas Mitchell, James Burden and Thomas Merrifield. Each is a wonderful oval meat plate (refer to image). Each is 16 inches in width. Depth is 11 inches. Height is 0.75 inch. A wonderful set of highly unusual meat plates. Definitely one for the collectors! A truly special antique lot well worth owning. The condition is excellent and all it needs is to be used. Each is engraved with a divine armorial and always has been. Would make a very nice present indeed. Each lovely platter is of exceptional quality and is a most delightful piece of hefty table silver. Weight of silver is a staggering 2968 grams (95.43 troy ounces), each piece is made of very thick gauge silver throughout. PAIR OF LARGE VINTAGE SILVER OR SILVER PLATED CUT GLASS CLARET JUGS , QUALITY. The silver has no marks , it also shows no ware, Im sure this is solid silver but with no markings it would be classified as white metal. Both are very elegant. The one with the glass stopper stands 34cm high, There is some damage to the glass under the silver mount inside were the stopper goes in. And a chip on the outside just below the silver mount. The top of the glass may have been ground down as its slightly shorter. The other stands 30cm high, there is no damage to the glass but the hinge on the lid has become unsoldered from the handle and needs a repair. There are a few issues but they are a very handsome pair. I would think these date from the early to mid 20th century. ANTIQUE SILVER PLATED CORINTHIAN PILLARED NELSONS COLUMN TABLE LAMP STEPPED BASE. The price is for the pair. Very well made and beautifully cast lamps, the silver plating is of a very high standard, Ive seen few table lamps of this quality, they are also a great investment. They are wired with black 3 core cable which I have checked and works well. The on/off switch is built into the lamp and works perfectly. It is fully earthed so would pass a pat test. There is a slight variation in the top of the column between the two but this is negligible, see photos. Width:- 9.5cm X 9.5cm.
