Conn 3 Valve Silver Bell Up Eb Alto Horn Ser#117041 Cool Vintage Horn! Alto horns are very popular in brass bands. This one looks to be from 1912 based on the serial number. They are a very nice compact size and this horn plays well! The body is in good condition with only minor dents and dings. There is a lot of patina and tarnish on the horn. It comes with a mouthpiece so it is ready to play! Instrument Condition: The overall physical condition of this used instrument is. Some dents and dings. This instrument is currently in. It has approximately 50- 55% of the silver finish tough to tell with the tarnish on the horn. Light general wear (possible light surface scratches and/or minor dents and dings). All the valves are in good working condition and some of the tuning slides are stuck. Valve Info: Valve finger button number two does not match one and three. Lead Pipe Condition: Light general wear (possible light surface scratches and/or minor dents and dings). Outside Body Bow Condition. Has a light dent in the outside bow and/or a small ding (See Pics). Minor dents and dings and minor bell. Has a light dent in the bow guard with a small ding (See Pics). A mouthpiece is included engraved: York AL-TRU 6M. Several (See Pics) The main tuning slide to bell brace on the tuning slide side needs to be re-soldered. The post on the third valve tuning slide to outside body bow needs to be re-soldered on the body side. No broken or patched metal. Condition – good condition, minor surface scratches with of deeper scratch, to left lug has been bent at some point and has been bent back leaving a crease mark on the lug although the lug is still sturdy. Dial good with the odd spec of dirt. Crystal has been professionally polished minor surface scratching may remain. Tested and keeping good time. Gender – Men’s. Country of manufacture – Swiss. Movement – Manual wind. Case Material – Gold Plated. Crown Approx – 32.9mm. Case size lug-to-lug – 39.4mm. Thickness – 10.5mm. Lug width – 18mm. Strap – New old stock Maroon leather strap.
