1920’s VTG Antique Meriden Silver Co Dance Trophy Cinderella Ballroom Long Beach

Trophy, presented to the winners of the big Foxtrot Dance contest at Long Beach’s famous Cinderella Ballroom, October 24th, 1924. Presented to Janovine Hunt and Hal Tucker (soon to be married according to public records). Truly one of a kind. The big Cinderella was torn down long ago. Approximately 11 tall, some evidence of having been dropped: bottom out of round in two spots, top out of round near one handle. I like the patina so will leave it on, but would clean up well if you are so inclined. Pair of Modernist Gerald Benney Mappin & Webb. Silver Plated Bark Bud Vases. Stunning pair of Mappin & Webb modernist silver plated bud vases attributed to Gerald Benney. Gerald Benney was a renowned British designer of 20th century worked as an independent silversmith as well as being commissioned by Mappin & Webb in the 1980s. Each vase has a plain body with weighted bark effect base, marked to the underside Mappin & Webb Limited.
