VINTAGE Barker Ellis huge 22.5 silver plated engraved & pierced gallery tray
A magnificent large silver plated gallery tray made by the top quality silversmiths Barker Ellis in Sheffield, England. It’s one of the largest of it’s type that I have seen measuring 22.5″ x 15″ and weighing over 3kg. The base of the tray is beautifully engraved with a scrolling pattern of flowers and leaves around a central cartouche. The pierced gallery has a gadrooned edge and cut out handles at either end. The tray is mounted on four bun feet. It’s marked underneath with the Barker Ellis menorah logo. The photos don’t really do justice to this super decorative item, you can’t appreciate the quality and feel of it. In excellent condition, there are no dents, the silver plate is very good with no wear. DIMENSIONS : 57.5cm x 39cm and 9cm deep. Please read the following.
